Important Notice: Fieldwork Requirements
Each fieldwork type has different monthly requirements. Hours can only be accrued under one fieldwork type per month, per supervision structure, and all requirements of that fieldwork type must be satisfied for the hours to be eligible.
We recommend starting your fieldwork hours as soon as you begin your master's program to maximize your time efficiency.

Master's Program Timeline
We recommend starting your fieldwork hours as soon as you begin your master's program. Here's how your supervision can align with different program lengths:
Sub-1-Year Option
With 130-160 hours per month, you can complete your fieldwork requirements in under 12 months. This elite pace is ideal for those ready to hit the ground running and finish fast.
1-Year Master's Program
With 110-130 hours per month, you can complete your fieldwork requirements by graduation or shortly after. This accelerated pace requires significant dedication.
2-Year Master's Program
With 80-100 hours per month, you can complete your fieldwork requirements by graduation or shortly after.
2.5-Year Master's Program
With 60-80 hours per month, you can complete your fieldwork requirements around the same time as your graduation.
3-Year Master's Program
With 40-60 hours per month, you can comfortably complete your fieldwork requirements by graduation.
4-Year Timeline
With 30-40 hours per month, you can complete your fieldwork requirements within 4 years. This pace allows for a more balanced approach.
5-Year Timeline (Maximum)
With 25-35 hours per month, you'll reach the 5-year maximum timeframe allowed by the BACB.
Note: The BACB requires all fieldwork to be completed within a 5-year period. Adjust the hours slider above to see how your specific situation affects your timeline and investment.
Mixed Track Calculator
If you're mixing both fieldwork types, use this to see your progress toward the 2,000-hour Supervised Track equivalent.
- Sum the total hours accrued under the Concentrated Fieldwork type.
- Multiply the sum of the Concentrated Fieldwork hours by 1.33.
- Add the sum of the hours accrued under Supervised Fieldwork.
- Ensure the combined total is at least 2,000 hours before applying.
Note: The 1.33 multiplier is only applied to Concentrated Fieldwork hours.
